Senatorial aspirant Rafael “Raffy” Teshiba Tulfo stated that Bongbong Marcos is not responsible for the sins of his father in an interview with ABS-CBN News Channel on Monday, October 18. 

In talks of the Marcoses alleged-ill gotten wealth, Tulfo reiterated the court’s decision and that all pending cases should be left in the hands of the court. 

When asked to comment on the statement made by presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao which called upon the Marcoses to apologize and return the alleged ill-gotten wealth of the late Ferdinand Marcos during his era, Tulfo stated, “May kanya kanya tayong opinyon. This time hindi magkatugma ang opinyon namin ni Sen. Manny Pacquiao.”

“Kasalanan nung tatay, bakit magiging kasalanan ng anak? Why would he apologize for something that he didn’t do? Na ang may kagagawan ay yung tatay niya” Tulfo said. “Para sa akin, opinyon ko iyan”, he added.

Tulfo compared Marcos’ situation to his when he was blamed and accused on the issues of his siblings. 

“Nangyari na yan sa akin eh. Ilang beses na. May mga issue yung mga kapatid ko — iba’t ibang mga kapatid ko — and yet itinuturo sa akin na kasabwat ako at sinasabihan din ako na mag-sorry ka, isauli niyo yan and etc.,” Tulfo said.

Marcos offered Tulfo to be one of his guest candidates but it is still being discussed by both groups.
