Manila Mayor “Isko” Moreno Domagoso said COVID-19 immunizations will continue in Manila even amid rains, in what could be a direct response to President Duterte’s statement during his last State of The Nation Address (SONA) where he disagreed with forcing people to wait for hours in flooded areas to be vaccinated.

Moreno indirectly made a comment stating, “Mas marami silang sinasabing ibang bagay to create smokescreen.

Moreno justified why he believes that vaccination should be implemented even if citizens must endure floods.

“My question is, will COVID-19 stop when it rains? Does COVID-19 stop when it’s Saturday?” He said.

To date, Manila has vaccinated more than a million individuals against the deadly COVID-19 virus.
