Senior Citizen Partylist Rep. Rodolfo Ordanes urged the Food Drug and Administration (FDA) to approve the Pfizer vaccine for students aged 12 to 17 years old.

“I am hoping our FDA will very soon take the cue from the US FDA and follow suit on full approval of Pfizer to include the same ages approved in the United States,” Ordanes said. 

According to Ordanes, issuing Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) to the Pfizer vaccine will also allow more citizens to be inoculated against COVID-19 to achieve herd immunity.

He also urged the Department of Interior and Local Government, all Local Government Units, the National Youth Commission, and Sangguniang Kabataan to work together to push for  COVID-19 vaccination for the youth.
