Congratulations! You have been accepted in your first job. But before you can start employment, you first have to prepare several documents.
First of all, prepare valid government IDs for security and verification. National IDs such as a PRC ID, passport or a driver’s license are usually sufficient in obtaining other government documents.
If you don’t have them, just secure your PSA Birth Certificate, NBI Clearance, and other secondary IDs such as barangay/police clearance and CEDULA. For the NBI clearance, set an appointment online.
Second, prepare your school documents like the Transcript of Records and Diploma if applicable. If you are an undergraduate, prepare your most recent school transcript or grades. Some companies may also require a Statement of Accounts from the school.
Third, when you’re done securing your primary and secondary IDs you are ready to process the following:
1.Social Security Number
You can obtain your SS number through online registration which will be generated immediately after you fill out the information needed. A link to the printable copy of your SS Number will be sent in your email address.
2.Social Security System E1 Form
The E1 form is for your personal record registration. This needs to be filled and submitted to any physical locations of SSS, near you, to validate and finalize your enrollment. The form can either be obtained online or at the SSS office.
SSS is a mandatory insurance program by the government. It provides assistance for unemployment, sickness, maternity, disability, funeral, and retirement pension.
3.Pag-IBIG Member’s Data Form (MDF)
You can register online for convenience unless the HR will take care of everything for you. Fill out all the information required and click submit. You will then be routed to the printable copy of your MDF. You can locate the Registration Tracking Number (RTN) in the document which is necessary for the issuance of Pag-IBIG Member ID number.
This mandatory government program is used primarily for housing loans but they also have personal loans for members.
4.PhilHealth Member Registration Form (PMRF)
Online services for PhilHealth are usually down so it is better to register through their physical location. You can download the printable copy of the form ahead. PhilHealth is a mandatory healthcare insurance program by the government.
5.BIR Form 1902
A printable copy of the form is available online to print ahead of time but it is also available at the BIR office. The purpose of this document is to register new employees to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
6.TIN Verification Slip
This can be obtained at the BIR office. Its size is a quarter of a short bond paper. This is used for verification purposes so your employer can request to generate a Tax Identification Number (TIN) for you.
