The Office of Vice President Leni Robredo sent off on Friday, June 19, 2020, a total of 146 stranded passengers to their home provinces as part of its continuous efforts to assist locally stranded individuals (LSIs) affected by the community quarantine.

VP Leni’s office provided five buses to transport the LSIs to Sorsogon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes and Masbate.

Prior to this, the OVP also assisted in bringing home a total of 584 passengers to different towns in Albay on Thursday, June 18, 2020.

This was made possible through our cooperation with the Redemptorist Church – National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Baclaran, Parañaque City, and the concerned LGUs, particularly the provincial governments of Albay, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes and Masbate, especially in ensuring that their trips were arranged in adherence to the community quarantine guidelines.

The OVP required each passenger to present a medical certificate and travel authority issued by the Philippine National Police and LGUs of their respective towns and provinces.

Disinfection procedures and temperature check were implemented to ensure the safety of passengers.
The OVP also provided hot meals and snacks for the LSIs before and during their trips. (Photos by Jay Ganzon / OVP)
