ACT-CIS Partylist Representative Rowena “Nina” Taduran and Representatives Eric Yap and Jocelyn Tulfo commended the government’s move to help Overseas Filpino Workers (OFWs) trapped in Dubai and Abu Dhabi trapped due travel bans.

The Department of Labor and Department of Foreign Affairs took action and helped 348 OFWs from the said locations in UAE to return to the country.

Taduran also mentioned “We hope in the partylist that OFWs in other banned countries, including India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Oman will also be given a chance to go home.

ACT-CIS is hoping that all OFWs from other countries can safely return to the Philippines and reunite with their families.
