Senior Citizen party-list Representative and Chair of Committee on Senior Citizens Rodolfo “Ompong” Ordanes enjoined all Filipino Catholics in the observance of the First World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly last July 25.

“I join all Filipino Catholics in marking the first World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly to be observed by Catholics worldwide on July 25, 2021, the fourth Sunday of that month and coincidentally the day before the Philippines’ 18th Congress reopens its third and last regular session,” Ordanes said in a statement.

“Let us remember the love and sacrifices of our grandparents and elderly. Let us recall the good times and their legacy to each one of us,” said Ordanes as he requested everyone to pray for all  grandparents and elderly who endured hardships during the pandemic.
