DFA Logs 45 New Recoveries Among OFWs

The Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday reported 45 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) recoveries among Filipinos abroad over the past week, pushing its total number of recovered cases to 12,603.

In its latest case bulletin, the agency also reported 36 new confirmed cases and seven more fatalities.

The figures bring the total number of infections overseas to 21,767 and the death toll to 1,332.

Meanwhile, about 7,832 Filipinos abroad are undergoing treatment.

“Compared to last week’s figures, the total number of Covid-19 fatalities and recoveries increased slightly by 0.53 percent, and 0.36 percent, respectively, while those under treatment decreased by 0.20 percent,” the DFA said.

It added that it continues to monitor the situation of overseas Filipinos and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare. (PNA)
