Most parts of the country will experience good weather with some isolated rains caused by thunderstorms, a weather forecaster said Friday.
The monsoon trough affecting the western section of Luzon, however, will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan. Flash floods and landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
“Sometimes when there is a monsoon trough, a low-pressure area (LPA) is being formed. For now, we don’t see an LPA inside the country,” Aldczar Aurelio of PAGASA said.
The rest of Luzon, he said, will have fair weather. Sudden rains are likely due to thunderstorms.
Metro Manila will experience a temperature range of 24 to 32 °C; while Tuguegarao and Legazpi will both have 24 to 32 °C.
Good weather is expected over the Visayas and Mindanao, Aurelio said. Isolated rains caused by thunderstorms are possible.
Cagayan de Oro and Davao will have a 24 to 33 °C temperature.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago. (PNA)
