Partido Reporma presidential candidate Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson will be receiving a “Lifetime Achievement Award” given by the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association, Inc. (PMAAAI) for his outstanding contribution to the government, having been recognized as a leader who attains courage, loyalty, and integrity in his more than 50 years in public service.
Lacson Amado T. Espina Jr., the chairperson of PMAAAI, said Lacson established a good name that brings honor to himself, his family, and the entire alumni organization. Amado reiterated that Lacson was voted unanimously by the members of the Board of Directors.
“Ako, 50 years, tatanggap nga ako ng Lifetime Achievement Award sa PMA sa February. Ang tingin ko, parang tama na ‘yung na-i-contribute ko sa ating society. Pero look, sayang naman siguro ‘yung experience ko [at] ‘yung track record ko,” stated Lacson during a presidential interview aired in ABS-CBN News Channel, from which he revealed the said award for the first time.
Carrying with them their experience in public service, Lason along with his running mate Tito Sotto III, agreed to use their track record in the campaign, thus not choosing to indulge in negative campaigning against their rivals.
Last year, the PMAAAI gave Lascon a Cavalier for Public Administration award in fighting corruption in the Senate through passing laws that promote transparency and public accountability.
The Lacson-Sotto campaign tagline is “Aausyin ang Gobyerno at Uubusin ang Magnanakaw,” aiming for their leadership to be set as an example.
