Aksyon Demokratiko vice presidential candidate Dr. Willie Ong released a video statement through his Facebook page stating that he has no resentfulness over the rumored tandem of the presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Salamat sa aking followers, eye on the ball tayo,” Ong expressed in his video statement.
Ong stated that he is neither hurt nor angered by the said rumor, reiterating that pondering on the issue will not help with his candidacy.
During the visit of Isko Moreno in Maguindanao, the vice-presidential candidate is noticeably absent on the two-day campaign. In the province of Bangsamoro, large banners of Isko Moreno and Sara Duterte are displayed in the venue.
Lito Banayo, the campaign manager of Isko, revealed he asked Dr. Ong to not come to the sortie because the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will purely back the candidacy of Sara Duterte.
The campaign manager called Ong on Saturday and suggested skipping the campaign. Banayo also added that Dr. Ong has no problem with it.
