President Duterte Approves Promotions Of AFP Officials

Several generals, flags, and senior officers have been promoted in new military designations as President Rodrigo Duterte signed its approval on Friday, March 4, 2022.

According to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), current AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, Rear Admiral Palces will be the new Philippine Navy Vice Commander. 

On March 2, Brig. Gen. Zosimo Oliveros, the Current Commander of 802nd Infantry Brigade will start as the New Assistant Division Commander of the 8th Infantry Division. 

And on the same date, Marine Col. Doroteo Jalandoni will be the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence while Navy Capt. Alan Javier will be the Commander of Naval Forces Western Mindanao. 

Starting March 12, 2022, Air Force Maj. Gen. Nesti Rayos will handle the Air Education, Training and Doctrine Command. His current position as Air Combat Command chief is now assigned to Maj. Gen. Edward Libago who is currently the head of Air Force Reserve Command. 

By April 11, 2022, the AFP General Headquarters and Headquarters Service Command located at Camp Aguinaldo QC will have Brig. Gen. Ferdinand Razalan as its New Commander. 

The New Assistant Division Commander of the 6th Infantry Division will be Brig. Gen. Eduardo Gubat effective on April 16.

Following the retirements of generals had caused a major reshuffle in the Philippine Military. Changes in the new designations and appointments of officers in AFP symbolized dynamism and development within its institute.
