Presidential aspirant Ping Lacson called on the attention of vice presidential candidate Lito Atienza for being rude after the latter mentioned that Lacson should back out from the presidential race.
Lacson emphasized that he will not withdraw his candidacy for the May 9 election. He also added that Atienza should go back to school and took a Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC).
“For the nth time, I will finish this race and I am not backing out. I reject the call of Rep. Jose ‘Lito’ Atienza for me to withdraw from the presidential race. What he did is uncalled for — kabastusan (rudeness), to say the least. He should go back to school and study Good Manners and Right Conduct, which law I co-authored.” He said.
The VP aspirant pushed for the withdrawal of Lacson to give way to the Manny Pacquiao and Tito Sotto tandem against the frontrunner BBM-Sara tandem that leads always on the survey.
According to Lacson, Filipinos should not vote based on “survey politics” but instead, choose a leader that is qualified and competent enough to solve the Philippines’ crisis.
“Instead of thinking we will waste our votes on those who are qualified but not leading in the surveys, we should remember that it would be a bigger waste if we select the wrong leader who turns out to be less competent.” Lacson said.
