Angeles Supports Marcos Bid, Encourages Tarlakenyos To Set Aside Differences

Tarlac Mayor Cristy Angeles reiterated the warm welcome of the province to Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as the end of political color during the UniTeam’s sortie last Saturday, April 2. 

Tarlac City is the hometown of late President Cory Aquino and Senator Ninoy Aquino, the biggest rivals of the Marcos family in politics. 

Tarlac Mayor told that there presence of Marcos jr. showed that the province is not just for the Aquinos, “Alam po ninyo, history in the making po ito. Isang Marcos tumuntong dito sa lungsod ng Tarlac.”

Angeles said that the political differences between Marcos and Aquino already ended and advised everyone to unite. She promised the support of Tarlakenyos to Marcos and his running-mate Inday Sara Duterte. 

“Mahal kong kababayan, mulat na tayo alam na natin kung ano ang nararapat para sa ating lahat. Kailangan natin ang pagkakaisa at ibibigay niya (Marcos) po yan sa atin,” Angeles stated. 

Mayor Cristy encouraged the crowd to support the UniTeam, citing that everyone should aim for a good future. She even expressed that the Aquino-Marcos feud is over and everyone should move on from the past.
