Prosecutor General Benedicto Malcontento said that the PHP72,000 fine of Michael Go was suggested for temporary liberty, this is after Go threatened to kill the presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. via social media.
Michael Go, a 49-year-old, was arrested last Friday in Barangay Sta. Lucia, Quezon City. Two days before he was detained, the camp of Marcos already filed a complaint against Go, however, he denied the alleged threat.
The office of the prosecutor reiterated that the grave threat complaint of Marcos’s attorney is subject to Republic Act No. 10175, the Cybercrime Law, which had been filed before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.
The alleged post of Go in twitter was, “I was blocked by Marcos Jr. on 2016. Pakisabi mag ingat siya sa Tandang Sora QC. Pag dumaan siya dun babarilin ko siya di ako takot makulong.”
Go also said in the alleged post on Twitter that he is not afraid to die, and it has been an honor to revenge on his fellow activists who are victims of Martial law.
