Presidential aspirant Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao urged the public to trust the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in running the May 9 polls despite the obstacles that happened on the first day of overseas absentee voting (OAV).
Magbigay tayo ng tiwala sa kanila,” during his campaign in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
COMELEC reiterated that the first day of OAV was peaceful and successful except for some issues we can’t avoid.
The boxing champ turned politician is optimistic that the Filipino workers abroad who supported him in his boxing career were aware of his platforms and plans for our country if elected.
During the campaign, he was accompanied by Dipolog City Mayor Darel Uy and his father, Zamboanga del Norte Governor Roberto Uy, before a motorcade around the city. He also had a meet-and-greet with supporters in the municipality of Roxas’ gym before holding a grand rally at the Zamboanga City Convention Center.
