Pacquiao To Combat Corruption Once Elected As President

Presidential aspirant and senator Manny Pacquiao promised during a prayer rally at Pinaglabanan Shrine in San Juan City last April 23 that he will end corruption in the Philippines if elected as president.

According to Pacquiao, eradicating corruption would uplift the lives of the marginalized Filipinos. “Kaya po ako ganito, nakikipaglaban para sa mga mahihirap.” Pacquiao said during his speech. 

Pacquiao also claimed that his bid for the presidency is a revolution for the poor Filipinos as his concern was to lift up the lives of every Filipinos against poverty and corruption. 

Para mabigyan ng importansya ang mga mahihirap. Kaya kung ikaw ay tagaLuzon, Visayas at Mindanao na mga mahihirap, samahan niyo ako dahil itong mga ipinaglalaban ko para sa inyo”. Pacquiao encouraged

In addition, Pacquiao emphasized that Filipinos should understand the existence of poverty up to the present and should know that with corruption still existing in the country, the Filipinos will remain poor. 

Ang pinaka problema ng bansa natin, ang pinaka dahilan ng paghihirap ng sambayanang Pilipino ay ang korapsyon.”” He added.

Pacquiao reiterated that it’s no longer about riches and fame, but to help those Filipinos who are still a victim of poverty. 

He also added that corrupt officials will be under surveillance during his administration and will chase them afterwards 

Pagdating ng panahon, ginagarantiya ko sa inyo at sa bayan na lahat ng mapagsamantala at lahat ng mga magnanakaw dyan sa gobyerno, bantay na kayo.” Pacquiao said.
