La Union Governor Rafy Ortega-David visited Malacañang Palace on July 10 and met with different political personalities.
On her Facebook post, Ortega-David said that she was honored to meet the other youngest governors in the country, Sultan Kudarat Governor Datu Pax Ali Sangki Mangudadatu and Camarines Sur Governor Luigi Villafuerte.
She also highlighted the youth’s roles as leaders of today and wished that she, with her fellow governors, would succeed during their terms.
“It is with hope that we truly show that the youth ARE the leaders of today! I wish both of you success in your term and I look forward to the wonderful plans and programs that you have lined up for your constituents!” Ortega-David said in her post showing both governors.
Meanwhile, the neophyte La Union governor also met Quezon Province Governor Helen Tan. Ortega-David and Tan are both the first women local executives of their respective provinces.
“As the first EVER women to lead our provinces, great expectations fall on our shoulders. However, what I see in Gov. Helen’s eyes are a whole lot of spunk and determination–the same girl-boss energy that encourages me to do well as your Governor.” Ortega-David said in another post.
