Many NCR LGUs Urge Public To Get Boosted

National Capital Region local government units urged their residents to get Covid-19 booster jabs as the cases rise and prevent spikes in cases in their respective localities. 

The Navotas city government called on its residents to get their booster shot to deter the spike of cases. 

Navotas City reported 10 active cases with 219,557 vaccinated residents, of which 62,201 have received their first booster jab, and 3,892 received their second booster. 

 

Meanwhile, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano reiterated among Pasay residents  the importance of following the minimum health protocols. 

Pasay City recorded 27 active cases as of date. 

Pasig City has also urged its residents to observe the minimum public health standards and to get boosted, including those aged 12-17 years old.

The city recorded 212 active cases. 

Meanwhile, San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora also encouraged residents to get their booster shots. 

The city’s multi-purpose hall is open for booster vaccinations from Mondays to Fridays. 

The local government officials of Valenzuela City have developed strategies and local initiatives to prompt residents to get vaccinated. 

The city recorded 102 active cases, eight of which are admitted to hospitals, 11 of whom are isolated in the city’s facility, and 83 of which are home quarantined. 

There have been 154,905,491 doses administered throughout the country, with 71,093,937 acquiring the two primary doses, and 15,191,593 receiving their first booster shots. 

The country logged a decline in the average daily doses administered to 57, 708, in comparison to the over 100,000 doses administered last month.
