The Office of the Vice President (OVP) led by Sara Z. Duterte will launch “Magnegosyo ta ‘day”, which aims to provide financial support to women and members of the LGBTQ+ community to help with economic activity and growth, and employment, according to spokesperson Reynold Munsayac.
“Qualified beneficiaries will be entitled to a grant of PHP20,000 capital, and will undergo basic business management training to engage in ventures like livestock, sari-sari stores, goat dispersal, native chicken, and mini-meat processing,” he said.
Since the inauguration last June, Munsayac also said that the OVP has provided medical and burial assistance worth PHP16,540,243.94, and another PHP7,416,109.37 to qualified recipients, and that the OVP main office and its six offices in Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Surigao del Sur, Tacloban and Zamboanga have provided aid to 16 million beneficiaries.
