Nanawagan si ANAKALUSUGAN Party List Representative Ray Florence Reyes sa Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) na paigtingin ang kanilang information, education, and communication campaign para ma-promote ang kanilang mga palaro.

Ito ay matapos ibunyag ng PCSO sa pulong ng House Appropriation Committee na humigit-kumulang 35-45 percent ng kanilang kita ang nawawala dahil sa ilegal na sugal at mahihinang operasyon ng Small Town Lottery.

“Ang pagpapaigting ng IEC Campaign ng PCSO ay makakatulong upang tuluyan nang mawala ang illegal gambling sa bansa. Kapag nagtagumpay tayo dito, hindi tayo mawawalan ng pondo at oportunidad na maglaan ng mas malaki para sa serbisyong pangkalusugan at programang medikal sa isalim ng Universal Health Care,” ani Reyes sa committee meeting para sa 2023 budget ng charitable institution.

“These losses are not only lost bets. These are lost revenue that could have been collected for government coffers. These are wasted opportunities to provide medical assistance pursuant to the objectives of the Universal Health Care Law,” dagdag niya.

Dahil dito, nangako si Reyes na tutulong sa pagsugpo sa mga iligal na operator at tutugunan ang mga isyu na kinakaharap ng mga non-performing gaming operators ng PCSO.
