Nanumpa kamakailan si La Union Governor Rafy Ortega-David bilang miyembro ng Army Artillery “King of Battle” Regiment, Philippine Army (AAR) Multi-Sector Advisory Board (MSAB).

“Tinatanggap po natin ang hamon ng Hukbong Katihan!” anunsyo niya sa isang Facebook post.

Bilang miyembro ng AAR MSAB, ipinangako ni Ortega-David ang pagtupad sa kanyang mga tungkulin at responsibilidad na ipinagkatiwala sa kanya nang tapat at walang pag-aalinlangan.

“I also look forward in bringing in my youth and femininity in the mix! Let my fresh ideas influence more positive changes and bring progress to the Army Artillery Regiment! Maraming salamat po sa inyong tiwala at suporta, Kaprobinsiaan!” aniya.

Kamakailan lang, iniulat ng 71st Infantry Kaibigan Battalion ng Philippine Army ang La Union bilang “insurgency free” sa isang courtesy visit sa gobernadora, ayon sa Public Information Office (PIO) ng lalawigan.

Pinuri naman ni Ortega-David ang mga sundalo sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan. Ipinangako niya na patuloy na susuportahan ang mga kalalakihan at kababaihan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National Police upang sugpuin ang terorismo at mga banta ng communist insurgency sa bansa.

“The recent development report will spur profound progress and improve Kaprobinsiaan’s living conditions. Moreover, businesses will continue to flourish, and prosperity shall become a way of life in every corner of our beloved Province of La Union,” ayon sa PIO

Dagdag nito, ang sama-samang pagsisikap ng iba’t ibang stakeholder at patuloy na pagtutulungan ng mga local government at law enforcement agencies ay malinaw na pagpapakita ng #LaUnionPROBINSYANihan. 

“Indeed, PGLU (Provincial Government of La Union is one with AFP in protecting the best interest of the Kaprobinsiaan.”
