Isinulong ni Senador Raffy Tulfo ang panukala kung saan ang mga provider ng critical infrastructures ay kinakailangan tumugon sa loob ng dalawang oras mula nang maganap ang emergency service request.

Sa ilalim ng Senate Bill (SB) No. 1882, kinakailangan ang agarang pagtugon sa mga emergency service request na may kinalaman sa critical infrastructure para maiwasan ang brownout at iba pang problemang nakakaapekto sa kaligtasan ng publiko at pambansang seguridad.

Kabilang sa mga critical infrastructure ang mga pasilidad, network, at system na sumusuporta sa mga pangunahing serbisyo tulad ng power generation at distribution, suplay ng tubig, transportasyon, komunikasyon, pangangalagang pangkalusugan at serbisyong pinansyal

“Critical infrastructure is vulnerable to various threats, including natural disasters, accidents, cyberattacks, and intentional acts of violence,” isinaad ni Tulfo sa explanatory bill ng panukala.

“Disruptions to critical infrastructure can have significant consequences which can negatively impact public safety, national security, and the overall well-being of the population,” aniya.

May multang P100,000 hanggang P1,000,000 ang mga lalabag sa nasabing panukala.
