Mga Ticket Na Nabili Online Dapat May Student Discount Din – Rep. Dy

Ang mga estudyante na nagbabayad ng buong halaga ng mga ticket na binili online ay dapat makapag-refund ng nararapat na discount para sa kanila, ayon kay Isabela 6th District Representative Inno Dy.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi niya na ang House Bill (HB) No. 1142 ay nais isama ang mga ticket na nabili online sa discount na makukuha ng mga estudyante sa ilalim ng Republic Act (RA) No. 11314 o ang Student Fare Discount Act, na naisabatas noong 2019.

Sa ilalim ng RA No. 11314, may 20 porsyento na discount ang mga estudyante sa domestic regular fares sa lahat ng pampublikong transportasyon.

Binanggit ni Dy na karamihan sa mga estudyante na napipilitan na magbayad nang buon presyo ng ticket online sa kasagsagan ng Holy Week ay dapat makakuha ng refund sa mga terminal.

“Dapat ma-refund ang mga estudyante na nagbabayad ng full fare dahil sa online booking kapag nakapag-presenta na sila ng ID sa mga terminal. Otherwise, this would be an uneven application of the law which excludes those who by choice or circumstance purchase their tickets online,” aniya.  

Ayon sa mambabatas, hindi binibigay ng ibang transport company ang discount sa mga estudyante na bumibili ng ticket online.

“In fact, some companies even explicitly state that tickets that have been bought online are not eligible for discount,” aniya.

Layunin ng HB No. 1142 na amyendahan ang Section 5 ng RA No. 1134 para isama ang mga ticket na nabili online para sa discount.

“In case of transportation tickets purchased online, the students are also entitled to the 20% fare discount, subject to verification provided in the IRR and the presentation of their duly issued school identification cards or current valid enrollment form upon purchase of the tickets online,” ayon sa panukala.
