La Union Gov. Ortega-David Nanguna Sa Volunteerism Workshop

Muling itinaas ng La Union ang development strategies nito matapos sumailalim sa isang volunteerism workshop ang mga lokal na opisyal kasama ang Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency.

Naglalayon ang workshop na bigyang kapangyarihan ang bolunterismo at ang kahalagahan nito tungo sa pagkamit ng mga layunin ng lalawigan, ayon sa isang pahayag ng Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU).

Ang Gobernador ng La Union na si Rafy Ortega-David, na nagkataon ay isang Volunteer La Union Lifeguard at isang Volunteer Rescue Technician, ay nagpahayag ng kanyang buong suporta sa adbokasiya, na binibigyang-diin ang kahalagahan ng boluntaryo bilang isang mahalagang papel para sa mga public official upang bigyang kapangyarihan ang kanilang mga layunin at isulong ang mas higit na nakakabuti.

“Napakalaking role ng Volunteerism sa atin as Public servants, kaya naman through this Volunteerism Program, we aim to empower each other in pursuit of extending more volunteer services to all,” aniya sa social media.

Ayon sa PGLU, itinampok ng workshop ang mga inisyatiba ng La Union at ang kahalagahan ng bolunterismo bilang isang mahalagang sangkap sa pagbuo ng isang maayos na komunidad. 

“This served as an encouragement to everyone to join together in volunteering and giving service to the kaprobinsiaan to answer the call for #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan,” dagdag nito.
