Ayuda Pa More! Rent Subsidy Para Sa Informal Settlers Pasado Sa House Panel

Inaprubahan ng House Committee on Housing and Urban Development, na pinamumunuan ni Representative Francisco “Kiko” Benitez, ang dalawang panukalang batas na naglalayong magbigay ng mas magandang pagkakataon sa pabahay para sa mga Pilipino.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng Press and Public Affairs Bureau ng House of Representatives na ang unang panukalang batas ay naglalayong magtatag ng isang programa na magbibigay sa informal settler families ng opsyon na makakuha ng rent subsidy sa tuwing sila ay nalilikas dahil sa natural o man-made disaster. 

“Rep. Benitez explained that the proposed program aims to address the need of ISFs for temporary relocation during natural and man-made disasters,” ayon dito na binigyang diin din na pinagsama-sama ng panukalang batas ang House Bills (HB) 305, 1238, 1708, 1711, 2879, 2941, 3379, 3636, 4173, 4 4944, 4980, 5146, 5815, 6736, 7774, 8054, at 7074.

Ang ikalawang panukalang batas ay nag-uutos ng paglalaan ng isang lugar para sa information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure at mga pasilidad sa mga subdivision at housing development projects. Tinitiyak nito na ang ICT ay itinuturing bilang isang pangunahing utility sa mga programa sa pabahay.

Kasama rin sa panukalang batas ang isang probisyon na mag-aatas sa pagkokonsulta sa mga may-ari ng bahay o developer at makuha ang kanilang pahintulot bago ang pagtatayo ng anumang pasilidad ng ICT.
