Pinasinayaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang P25.2 bilyon Mindanao Road Sector Project at nangakong patuloy na magpapatayo ng mga mahahalaga at pangunahing imprastraktura sa bansa.

Pinangunahan niya ang inagurasyon ng Improving Growth Corridors in Mindanao Road Sector Project na ginanap sa Zamboang Peninsula (IGCMRSP).

“We will continue to build roads, bridges, ports, and airports all over the country so we can bring Filipinos closer together,” pahayag ni Marcos.

Ayon sa kaniya, ang mas pinaghusay na physical connectivity ay palaging magiging mahalagang bahagi ng mga pagsisikap sa pag-unlad ng bansa, gaya ng nakabalangkas sa Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 at 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda ng administrasyon.

Binigyang diin din ng pangulo na mayroong napakalaking benepisyo ang pagpapalawak ng IGCMRSP sa kanilang original scope upang isama ang karagdagang road and bridge developments sa buong Zamboang Peninsula at Tawi-Tawi.

Dagdag pa niya, ito ay hindi lamang upang mapalawak ang Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) road network ngunit palalakasin din nito ang mga epekto ng economic at peace and order initiatives sa Mindanao

“Kaya’t ang Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) atsaka lalo na ang aggrupation ng BIMP EAGA ay pinagsama-sama natin, upang gawin ang connectivity ng ating mga kalsada, yung ating paglipat ng produkto, pagtransport ng mga tao” saad ni Marcos.

“So, let us build upon this achievement as we continue the unending work of building structures that will bring a better life and an invigorating future for all our fellow Filipinos.”
