President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed Dr. Sanjay P. Claudio, a former dean and current quality assurance director of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), as a member of the PTV4 Board of Directors.

The President designated Claudio as a representative from the educational sector at the PTV4, which is mandated to serve as a vehicle for bringing the government closer to the people to enhance their awareness of the State’s programs, policies, thrusts and directions.

After his appointment, Dr. Claudio took his oath before Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil on Monday.

Dr. Claudio is expected to infuse new and innovative policies that would enhance and improve further the day-to-day operations of PTV4.

He is currently the director of the PUP Quality Assurance Center (QAC), tasked to assist PUP in accreditation, program improvement, governance, policy decisions, and international collaboration for quality assurance. Under his leadership, PUP and PUP-QAC were recognized by various academic institutions.

Before his designation at PUP-QAC, Dr. Claudio, who holds a Doctor in Public Administration degree, served as the dean of the PUP College of Political Science and Public Administration. He is a career executive service eligible and a full-time professor of PUP teaching Public Administration subjects.

Just like Secretary Garafil, Claudio is a reservist of the Philippine Air Force holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. (PNA)
