Pumayag na ang Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 206 na makapag-pyansa si dating senador Leila de Lima matapos ang halos pitong taong pagkakakulong. 

Ayon sa mga report, ang nasabing bail grant na nagkakahalaga ng P300,000 ay batay sa kanyang huling kaso, ang Criminal Case No. 17-167. 

Dahil dito, ang kanyang mga kapwa akusado na si dating Bureau of Corrections director Franklin Bucayu, kasama ang mga dating aides ni de Lima na sina Ronnie Dayan at Joenel Sanchez, gayundin ang umano’y bagman na si Jose Adrian Dera, ay nabigyan din ng pagkakataong makapag-piyansa sa parehong kaso. 

Nakulong si De Lima noong Pebrero 2017 matapos arestohin sa mga kaso na may kaugnayan sa umano’y pagkakasangkot niya sa kalakalan ng iligal na droga sa panahon ng kanyang termino bilang secretary ng Department of Justice sa ilalim ng administrasyong Aquino.
