Hinay-Hinay Lang! House Leaders Pinag-Iingat Si VP Duterte Sa Pagsali Sa Mga Rally

Hinimok ng mga lider ng Kamara si Vice President Sara Duterte na mag-ingat sa pagpili ng mga event na kanyang dadaluhan, kasunod ng mga pagbatikos sa kanyang paglahok sa isang “prayer rally” na naging isang protesta laban sa gobyerno.

Ang mga sentimyento sa naturang rally, na ang intensyon lamang sa simula ay upang suportahan si Apollo Quiboloy, ay unti-unting naging pagbabanta sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr..

Binigyang-diin ni House Deputy Speaker at Quezon 2nd District Rep. David “Jay-jay” Suarez ang pangangailangan ng pag-iingat sa mga ganitong sitwasyon. “I think we need to be a little bit more prudent and proper in deciding what events to attend pagdating sa ganoong usapin,” aniya.

“Of course, being part of the Cabinet of President Bongbong Marcos, it sends the wrong signal especially for me kasi ipinaglaban natin kaya sila parehas nanalo dahil sa unity.”

Ayon naman kay I-RIDER Party-List Rep. Rodge Gutierrez dapat isaalang-alang ang mensaheng ipinararating sa pamamagitan ng pagdalo sa mga naturang kaganapan.

“We respect everyone’s right to freedom of expression … I suppose the attendance of certain personalities at the rally could always be construed as a personal exercise of that right. But given the positions that we are in, we have to consider of course the intricacies that are involved.”

Ipinunto rin niya ang potensyal na maling interpretasyon ng pagdalo sa mga rally, at sinabing, “When one attends rally and statements are made, though you might not personally agree to it, your mere attendance might be misconstrued by other people.”
