“I’m saddened and shocked to hear the statement of the Secretary of Labor in objecting to higher wages for the labor sector by rejecting our reasonable Minimum Wage hike bill that would increase by a modest P100 across the board for all our minimum wage earners in the country,” saad ni Zubiri sa isang opisyal na pahayag.

“It should be the Secretary that should lead the way on this and not the other way around.”

“[He] has failed to protect workers interests and would rather speak for the interest of the business sector,” pahayag niya.

“I am one with our President in calling for the Regional Tripartite Wage and Productivity Boards to review our minimum wages regularly and for the National Wages and Productivity Commission to ensure that the boards do so,” aniya.
