Kinumpira ng Office of the President na si Senador Sonny Angara ang papalit kay Vice President Sara Duterte bilang secretary ng Department of Education (DepEd).
Inanunsyo ng DedEd at ng opisina ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na si Angara na ang uupo bilang bagong secretary ng DepEd.
“The DepEd community looks forward to working with the new leadership as we continue our relentless pursuit towards improving the quality of Basic Education in the country,” pahayag ng DepEd.
Samantala, nagpasalamat si Angara kay Marcos sa pagkakatalaga sa kanya bilang bagong kalihim ng edukasyon at nangakong magsusulong ng mga programa na magpapatibay ng nasabing sektor.
“I am deeply honored and grateful to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the trust he has placed in me by appointing me as the Secretary of the Department of Education. This significant responsibility is one I accept with humility and a profound sense of duty.”
Dagdag pa ni Angara, ito ay isang magandang oportunidad para sa kanya dahil simula pa lang ay nais na n’yang tumulong sa sistema ng edukasyon sa bansa.
“Education is the cornerstone of our nation’s future, and it is through collective effort that we can address the challenges and seize the opportunities ahead,” aniya.
