Ayaw ng patulan ng Malacañang at sinabing isang “hallucination” ang pahayag ni dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na sinusuportahan ng kasalukuyang administrasyon si dating Senador Antonio Trillanes IV sa kanyang mga pag-atake laban kay Duterte.

Ani Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa isang media interview, walang katotohanan ang paratang ng dating pangulo at tila guni-guni na lamang nito ang nasabing alegasyon.

Ayon kay Duterte, may “Malacañang sponsorship” umano sa mga panibagong banat ni ng dating mambabatas, batay sa isang phone call kay Salvador Panelo na inilabas nang live sa social media. Naging mainit ang sagutan ng dating pangulo at ni Trillanes sa House quad committee hearing kaugnay ng nakaraang administrasyon at war on drugs. 

Sa nasabing pagdinig, umabot sa puntong nagbanta si Duterte na ihahagis ang mikropono sa dating senador matapos buhayin ng huli ang akusasyon ukol sa diumano’y kahina-hinalang pondo sa mga bank account ng pamilya Duterte.
