Albay Representative Joey Sarte Salceda is seeking a third term as he filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) as Representative of 2nd district of Albay on Friday, October 1.
In a statement, Salceda said that he wants to renew his covenant with his constituents.
“With this, I intend to renew my covenant with my beloved people of this district: reduce poverty, expand opportunities, promote sustainable development, and create a safer, happier, and more prosperous future for all.”
Salceda reminded the people from his district that as he once again offers himself to be the district’s leader and advocate, he will again offer the same service that he has rendered over the past six years. “As in the past six years when I represented you, as in the past 24 years of my career as an elected official, no day or night will pass where I shall serve you in some way or form,” he said.
In the same statement, he reiterated the visions and plans that he has for Albay in the next three years. Salceda cited the concession agreement for the operation, maintenance, and management of the Bicol International Airport, a plan to set up a Metro Legazpi Tramway System, the building of Daraga’s own water and sewage system and a Comprehensive Education Reform Agenda among others.
Meanwhile, Salceda also vowed to address the situation of the country amid the Covid-19 pandemic as he intends to fight for healthcare reforms.
“Hundreds of other measures and programs will be the work of my last of three terms as your representative. Enlightened restlessness: that will be the virtue of my work for you, and I will not rest until the people of the second district of Albay have reached their fullest promise,” he ended.
Salceda will run for Albay 2nd District Representative under the PDP-Laban Partylist.
