Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar has responded to the request for a laptop at the Sta. Monica Children’s Learning Center, to further help teachers there produce learning materials for their pupils.
In his message on Wednesday, Andanar said the blended learning approach for the education sector has modified the way learners and teachers engage in lessons.
“First time nangyari sa atin itong blended learning approach para sa lahat ng eskwelahan at hanggang ngayon (This is the first time that we have had to blended learning approach for all schools and now) we are still adjusting and continue responding to the needs of our learners and teachers,” he said.
“This is just a small donation but by acknowledging and taking action sa kailangan nila (for the needs), we are honoring the heroic duties of our teachers during this pandemic. Also, we are sending a message to the Filipino people that your government is listening,” he added.
The donation was made possible in coordination with the Office of Senator Christopher “Bong” Go.
Gloria Dolar, the school’s in-charge and the recipient of the laptop, has served the educational institution for 13 years. She also expressed her gratitude for the generous donation.
“The laptop is one important piece of equipment for us to continue to produce teaching materials and reports,” she said.
“Thank you very much Secretary Martin Andanar and Senator Bong Go. I am thankful that our request was granted because we really need this,” she added. (PNA)
