Nagsagawa ng joint price and supply monitoring activity sa Guadalupe Market ngayong Agosto 20, 2024 ang Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), at Makati City local government upang matiyak ang pagsunod sa price freeze at sapat na supply ng mga pangunahing bilihin.

Masusing sinuri ng inspection team, sa pangunguna ng mga opisyal ng DA at DTI, ang mga presyo at inventory level ng mga essential item tulad ng de-latang sardinas, gatas, kape, at tinapay. Kasama rin sa monitoring ang mga kalapit na groceries.

“The activity aims to ensure that retailers comply with the price freeze and supplies remain sufficient in key markets… The measure aims to protect consumers from price gouging and ensure access to essential goods at reasonable prices during the crisis,” pagbibigay-diin ng Agriculture department.

Bukod sa pagsubaybay sa presyo, nangalap din ang mga opisyal ng impormasyon sa mga supply chain challenges na kinakaharap ng mga vendor at tinasa ang pagsunod sa mga regulasyong nauugnay sa African Swine Fever upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng sakit.
