Kumpiyansa si Senate President Miguel “Migz” Zubiri na maipapasa sa ikalawang pagdinig ng sesyon sa Senado ngayong darating na Hunyo ang priority bills ng Marcos administration bago matapos ang taon.
“We are right on track when it comes to the approval of priority measures of the President both in the LEDAC and in his SONA. We are confident that the Senate can pass 20 of these measures before the 2nd Regular Session ends, and the rest of our commitment before this year ends,” aniya sa kanyang official statement.
Kabilang sa nasabing priority bills ay ang E-Government/E-Governance Act, the Department of Water Resources Act and the Konektadong Pinoy Act na kasalukuyang nakapila na para sa approval.
Sa nasabing target na priority bills na didinggin sa Senado, ipinahayag ni Zubiri na apat sa mga ito ay malapit nang maisabatas. “Four of the 20 measures are nearing enactment into law already. The rest are for bicameral committee approval, for second and final reading approval, or awaiting committee approval.”
Ayon kay Senate President, ang nasabing pagsusog nila ng mga ito sa Senado ay nagpapakita ng dedikasyon sa trabaho at agarang pag-resolba sa mga isyung kinakaharap ng bansa.
