The bill aims to render meaningful and effective the right of the people to information, especially in times of disaster and other emergencies, by ensuring that announcements, advisories, and similar public communications are accessible in terms of the language or dialect used.
A total of 208 lawmakers voted in favor of House Bill 8928, which provides for the establishment of the Philippine Energy Research and Policy Institute in the University of the Philippines.
“In terms of demographic consistency, the Sangguniang Kabataan is the most representative level of government in a country whose median age is 23. That is why I am a believer in making the SK a stronger institution. Let’s invest in them, and also expect better work of them.” Salceda said.

The House of Representatives on Monday night approved on third and final reading a bill establishing a vaccine indemnity fund and expediting the purchase of vaccines against the COVID-19.
“I do not want a partial restoration while we already have MGCQ. We need to increase public transport at the same time we shift to MGCQ. Otherwise, we will be making life very difficult and unsafe for many workers,” Salceda suggested.
“Our job as lawmakers is to ensure that the lives uprooted by the pandemic can return to normalcy, and to pass the necessary policies to absorb and cushion the damages to our people. We have to do it swiftly and with the highest degree of urgency,” Cabatbat assured.
