The hard work of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on his working trip to Germany and the Czech Republic has paid off in terms of thousands of job opportunities for Filipinos, not only in the Philippines but also in the two European countries, Speaker Martin Romualdez said Thursday.
In a media interview on the sidelines of his three-day working visit to Berlin, Germany, Marcos said there is nothing new with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent call on China’s armed forces to coordinate for possible military conflicts at sea.
Marcos made the remarks during his bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday in Berlin, Germany, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil said in a statement on Thursday.

During his meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin, Germany, Marcos said the recalibrated anti-narcotics campaign seems to be effective, even though the proliferation of illegal drugs in the Philippines remains a problem.
Marcos bared that he had a “productive and insightful” meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during their bilateral meeting at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin, Germany.
“I am in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters in the country and all over the world on the occasion of Ramadan,” President Marcos said in his message.
