Matinding pinuna ng abogadong si Neri Colmenares ang dating administrasyong Duterte sa programa nito laban sa droga na tinawag nitong “miserable failure.” 

Ang pahayag na ito ng isa sa mga abugado na kumakatawan sa mga biktima ng drug war ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ay tugon sa kamakailang anunsyo ni Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte na muling buhayin ang giyera laban sa iligal na droga sa lungsod.

“It only means that their drug war has failed miserably. After six years in office of President Duterte and 22 years as Davao City mayor, there are still drugs in Davao? Mayor Baste should be embarrassed about that.” 

Nagpahiwatig pa si Colmenares sa posibilidad na maghain ng supplemental motion sa International Criminal Court para magbigay ng updated na impormasyon sa patuloy na pagpaslang na nauugnay sa drug war.

“A supplemental motion may be filed with the ICC detailing how the killings are still happening through the renewed anti drug campaign in Davao City. It can be raised by the victims if only to tell the court to speed up their investigation because the killings continue.”
