DA Special Loan Program Para Sa Mga Onion Farmer Sinimulan

Bilang parte ng layunin ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. para sa seguridad sa pagkain, itinatag ng Department of Agriculture-Credit Policy Council (DA-ACPC) ang Agri-Negosyo (ANYO) Loan Program for Onion Farmers noong Marso 1. 

Layunin ng loan program ang magbigay ng credit loans para sa facilities, machineries, at ibang equipment para sa mga magsasaka. Kasama ang ANYO Loan program sa Prutas At Gulay sa Barangay Project Kadiwa Ay Yaman, Plants for Bountiful Barangays Movement program ni Marcos.

Kasama rin sa layunin ng programa na buhayin ang produksyon ng sibuyas sa bansa at magbigay ng benepisyo sa mga magsasaka ng dalawang ektaryang lupa at registered farmers’ cooperatives association. Sa ilalim ng programa, maaaring kumuha ng zero-interest loans mula P300,000 hanggang P15 million na maaaring bayaran ng hanggang limang taon. 

Kaakibat rin ang loan program sa Optimization and Resiliency in the Onion Industry Network program para sa progresibong onion industry sa bansa. 

Isa sa beneficiaries ng programa ay ang Rueda Onion Growers Association na nagkaroon ng P3 million na loan sa New Rural Bank of San Leonardo. 

Kasama rin ang Genaro Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative ng P10 million na loan mula sa DA-ACPC sa Occidental Mindoro Cooperative Bank.
