The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Saturday said the recoveries among Filipinos abroad have reached 9,301 this week.
In its latest bulletin, the total number of cases is now 14,791, of which 4,478 are active and 1,012 deaths.
From Feb. 14 to 20, the DFA said some 133 new cases were reported, including a total of 82 recoveries.
It also recorded 33 new fatalities this week — one in Europe, four in the Americas, and 28 in the Middle East/ Africa.
“Compared to last week’s percentages, the total number of Covid-19 fatalities and recoveries saw a slight increase to 6.84 percent and 62.88 percent, respectively,” it said in a statement.
Meanwhile, it added those under treatment decreased to 30.28 percent.
The active cases by region are broken down as follows: 800 in the Asia Pacific, 887 in Europe, 2,715 in the Middle East/Africa, and 76 in the Americas.
The Middle East/Africa region also has the highest number of recoveries with 4,755 followed by the Asia Pacific with 2,050, Europe with 1,914, and the Americas with 582. (PNA)
