We recently held the 3rd Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management (PDRRM) Council Meeting, where we assessed our disaster preparedness during the recent typhoon that struck our province,” aniya sa isang Facebook post.

Iniulat din ni Ortega-David na ang buong lalawigan ng La Union at ang 20 component local governments nito ay nananatiling “two steps ahead of the calamity.”

Upang maipagpatuloy ang ganitong “level of readiness,” ipinangako nya na mas palalakasin pa ang disaster risk prevention and mitigation activities sa probinsya.

“We will launch projects provincewide kung saan mabibigyang prayoridad at PDRRM at health.Sa ating administrasyon, we continue to work and strengthen our collaboration with the LGUs [local government units] to build resilient Kaprobinsiaan and achieve a #StrongerLaUnion,” dagdag ng gobernadora.

Katuwang din ang Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center at ang Center for Health and Development Region 1.
