The weather bureau on Tuesday said the Visayas and Mindanao will experience fair weather, while parts of Luzon will continue to experience rains caused by the southwest monsoon.

“It will be sunny and partly cloudy (over the Visayas and Mindanao). Isolated rain showers caused by thunderstorms are likely, especially in the afternoon or evening,” weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 5 a.m. weather bulletin.

The temperature in Zamboanga will reach up to 33 °C; while the temperature in Tacloban, Iloilo, Cebu, and Davao is up to 32 °C.

The southwest monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over llocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the provinces of Aurora, Zambales, and Bataan.

Flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rains.

PAGASA also forecasts the rest of Luzon to have isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Kalayaan Islands, Puerto Princesa, Tuguegarao and Legazpi’s temperature will reach up to 32 °C; while Metro Manila and Laoag’s temperature is up to 31 °C.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail over the entire archipelago. (PNA)
