Reelectionist Senator Sherwin Gatchalian expressed that he carries no grudges over the Lacson-Sotto tandem after removing him from their senatorial slates.

According to Gatchalian, he respected their decision and has seen both presidential aspirant Ping Lacson and vice-presidential aspirant Tito Sotto serving the people and doing their job the most as a public servant in the senate.

“I have worked first hand with Senator Lacson and SP (Senate President) Sotto and I have nothing but utmost respect and admiration for the two gentlemen. I have seen their dedication to serving our people and their pure love for our beloved country,” Gatchalian stated.

In addition, the reelectionist senator also apologized for any misunderstandings between him and the Lacson-Sotto tandem.

According to Lacson last Thursday, he said that Gatchalian along with former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista was dropped from their slate because of their choices of principles and advocacies to move forward.

On the proclamation rally of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte-Carpio, who were Lacson and Sotto’s political rivals in the 2022 elections, Gatchalian and Bautista were included on the senatorial lineups of BBM-Sara tandem at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Moreover, Lacson said that Bautista submitted a confusing letter that indicates to allow him to represent the National People’s Coalition in Marcos-Duterte’s proclamation rally.
