GIGIL SA DEATH THREAT! VP Sara, Maaaring Makasuhan Ng Terorismo

Mariing binigyang-diin ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na maaaring makasuhan si Vice President Sara Duterte sa ilalim ng Anti-Terror Act (ATA) matapos ang kanyang kontrobersyal na pahayag tungkol sa umano’y plano niyang ipa-assassinate sina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, at House Speaker Martin Romualdez. 

Ayon kay Justice Undersecretary Jesse Andres, nakasaad sa Section 4 ng ATA na ang pagbabanta o pagkilos upang magdulot ng seryosong pinsala o kamatayan sa isang tao, lalo na kung layunin nito ang maghasik ng takot, ay maituturing na terorismo. 

“Can you imagine a situation where the vice president is accused of plotting against the life of the president and then the president dies? Even the people, can they accept the vice president to succeed if she ascends under a cloud of doubt to the seat of power? Napakaseryoso po yan at nakakatakot po yang scenario na yan na mangyari sa pagbabanta sa ating pangulo,” aniya.

Dagdag pa ni Andres, maantala ang trabaho ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos dahil sa death threat na binitawan ni Duterte. “That is why it has to be addressed immediately. It has to be quelled at its inception,” aniya.

Ayon pa sa opisyal ang banta laban kay Marcos ay hindi lamang isang personal na isyu; ito ay banta sa ating pambansang seguridad.

Pinaalalahanan ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla ang publiko na mananatiling committed ang DOJ sa paglaban sa anumang anyo ng karahasan o lawlessness.

“Protektahan natin ang halal na pinuno at ang buong bansa,” aniya.
