Gov. Ortega-David Tiniyak Ang Kahandaan Ng La Union Sa Bagyong ‘Egay’

Hinimok ni Governor Rafy Ortega-David ang mga residente ng La Union na manatiling mapagbantay at maging handa sa Bagyong “Egay.”

“Medyo gloomy po sa ibang parts ng La Union ngayon dahil Signal No.1 po tayo due to Typhoon #EgayPH,” aniya sa social media.

Binigyang-diin ni Ortega-David ang kahalagahan ng pagiging handa sa mga potensyal na epekto ng bagyo. Habang hindi pa nakakaranas ng malakas na pag-ulan ang lalawigan, hinimok niya ang lahat na magdala ng payong at manatiling alerto sa kani-kanilang lugar.

“Kahit hindi pa tayo masyado nakakaranas ng pag-ulan, mahalaga po na magdala tayo ng payong at manatiling naka #AlertoKaprobinsiaan sa ating mga lugar.”

Tiniyak din niya na nakahanda at nakaalerto ang Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) habang papalapit ang Bagyong “Egay.”

Nagsagawa ang PGLU Incident Command Team ng operations briefing sa La Union Peace, Order and Public Safety – Emergency Operations Center kasunod ng Red Alert status ng Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office at ang pagtindi ng bagyo sa isang super typhoon category. 

Ayon sa PGLU, ang mga sasakyan, manpower, evacuation facility at lahat ng response and rescue logistics ng probinsya ay handa na para sa deployment at utilization. Inihanda din ng Provincial General Services Office ang kanilang stock inventory ng mga welfare goods na handang ipamahagi sakaling mangailangan ng augmentation ang alinmang local government unit.
