MANILA – Most areas in the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms and the southwest monsoon (habagat), the weather bureau said Wednesday.
In its 4 a.m. weather advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon affecting the western section of northern and central Luzon will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Ilocos region and the provinces of Zambales and Bataan.
Flash floods or landslides are likely in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago, the bureau said. (PNA)
