HISTORICAL TRIBUTE! Yulo, Posibleng Tumanggap Ng Karagdagang Gantimpala Mula Sa Senado

Mukhang hindi pa tapos ang pagbuhos ng mga pa-premyo at parangal kay two-time Olympic champion Carlos Yulo dahil pag-uusapan naman sa Senado ang karagdagang cash incentives para sa kanya, ayon kay Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino. 

Naghain din si Tolentino at iba pang mga senador ng mga resolusyon bilang pagkilala sa gintong tagumpay ni Carlos Yulo sa gymnastics men’s floor exercise at men’s vault sa Paris Olympics 2024.

Isinumite ni Tolentino ang Senate Resolution Bilang 1102 at 1106, habang ang Resolution No. 1104 at 1105 naman ay mula kay Senador Joel Villanueva, at ang Resolution No. 1103 at 1098 ay kay Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada.

Sa resolusyon ni Tolentino, binigyang-diin niya ang kahalagahan ng tagumpay ni Yulo.

“Mr. Yulo made history for Philippine gymnastics by becoming the country’s first double Olympic gold medalist, showcasing his grit and talent as he reigned supreme in the floor exercises and men’s vault final at the 2024 Paris Olympics.” 

Sa isang press briefing din matapos maghain ng resolusyon, ipinahiwatig niya na mayroong plano ang Senado na igawad ang pinakamataas na karangalan, ang Senate Medal of Excellence, hindi lamang kay Carlos Yulo kundi pati na rin sa iba pang Pilipinong atleta gaya nina Aira Villegas, Nesthy Petecio, at posibleng kasama rin si EJ Obiena, bilang pagpupugay sa kanilang natatanging tagumpay.

Samantala, nagpaabot din ng pagbati ang mga senador tulad nina Bong Go, Lito Lapid, Risa Hontiveros, Robin Padilla, Juan Miguel Zubiri, at Imee Marcos sa social media para sa pagkapanalo ni Yulo.
