HOUSE COMMITTEE KUMASA! ILBO Vs OVP Officials Ipinapanawagan

Hinihiling ng isang komite ng Kamara na maglabas ng immigration lookout bulletin order (ILBO) ang Department of Justice laban sa pitong opisyal ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) matapos silang hindi dumalo sa mga pagdinig ukol sa umano’y maling paggamit ng pondo ng OVP.

Kasama sa nais bigyan ng ILBO sina OVP Chief of Staff Zuleika Lopez, assistant chief of staff, and Bids and Awards Committee Chair Lemuel Ortonio, Administrative and Financial Services Director Rosalynne Sanchez, Special Disbursing Officer Gina Acosta, Chief Accountant Julieta Villadelrey, former Education Assistant Secretary Sunshine Charry Fajarda at ang asawa nitong si Edward Fajarda. Ang mag-asawang Fajarda ay parehong close aides ni Vice President Sara Duterte. 

Sa kanyang liham kay Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, sinabi ni House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability Chair Joel Chua na mahalaga ang testimonya ng mga nasabing opisyal sa imbestigasyon ng Kamara at may ulat na posibleng planong umalis ng bansa ang mga ito matapos silang i-subpoena. 

Sabi ni Chua, ang lookout bulletin ay kailangan upang mabantayan ang kilos ng pitong opisyales at maiwasan ang anumang tangka na lisanin ang bansa, na maaaring makasagabal sa ating imbestigasyon at sa mas malawak na layunin ng integridad sa serbisyo publiko. 

Batay sa findings ng Commission on Audit (COA), gumastos ang OVP ng P125 milyon na confidential funds mula Disyembre 21 hanggang 31, 2022. Kasama rito ang P16 milyon na ginamit para rentahan ang 34 na “safe houses” na ang isa ay nagkakahalaga ng halos P91,000 kada araw. Inisyuhan din ng COA ng notice of disallowance ang P73 milyon at pinadirektang ibalik ang halaga sa gobyerno.
